The First Trial of Cordyceps militaris at our Lab
We conducted the first trial of Cordyceps miliaris in 1000-mL beakers in different varieties of rice grains. There were 3 strains, F12, F27 and F29 as well as their combinations. The highest Biological Efficiency at day 42 of inoculation was 74.61% for F27.
The trial succeeded on the first attempt, and the result is shown in the table below.

A Year of Search for a better Culture Vessel for Cordyceps militaris Cultivation
The glass bottles traditionally used for Cordyceps militaris cultivation posed us the biggest setback- it is not suitable for scaling up production due to several limitations in our views.
We tried open tray cultivation but was contaminated after mycelia run phase.
It took us around a year to search for a suitable culture vessel, required accessories and design the lid. We are currently settled for a polypropylene trough of 10-Inch diameter.
Another One Year of Optimizing Culture Media and Incubation Conditions
The biological efficiency of Cordyceps militaris, like most of other mushrooms, vary depending on the strain, seed culture media, basal media (rice), liquid supplement for fruiting media, inoculum quantity and quality and fine control of the incubation conditions through different growth phases. Most of these are presented in detail in "Unveiling the Secrets of Cultivating Cordyceps militaris Mushroom: Achieving Maximum Yield Through Expert Techniques ".

An incessant journey of trying multiple combinations of various factors, a biological efficiency (BE) of 98% at day 55, and of 105% at day 66 is obtained for the strain F39.

The R&D continues as usual !!!
